The new machine brought into our Visual AP world, after the aggressive V3 kit being officially introduced last year. Enjoy!
Our partner Maching Dojo Modding Team are going to bring new life to one of our old models, the Citroen GT from Gran Turismo, modeled by our vehicle artist Autoprophet-Eimmy. It will be converted into Project CARS and be visualized by this sim racing game's powerful graphic engine.
Some fresh renders here by ZNR Automotive Renderings.
Well, we all get a lot busier than before.
And... as we get busier with other things, there's really no significant progress to post here.
OK, a little thing here if you haven't noticed when racing at Shanghai Tianma Circuit in Assetto Corsa.
Nothing serious though, just a billboard of our sim racing team at the entrance of the pit lane. Good news came last month that Racing Autoprophets won the team championship of 2016 SRTM, one of the most important sim racing series held by SRFC, with our sim racing driver AP-M4DTM ranked second, only one point behind the champion driver! What a remarkable season.
This track mod by the way, was developed by sim hardcores from SRFC. It feels almost no different from driving on the actual track. Highly recommended if you do love this game!
Tired of hex editing? As no specialized tools were available, modding pCARS had been a really tough job compared to other mod-friendly sims... UNTIL NOW! Thanks to the hard work by Shiimis, Autoprophet-ZR and LamboMantisMan23 from Machine Dojo Modding Team and Modding Autoprophets, converting a prepared car into this fantastic game has never been easier!
Our new exporter converts from FBX and DAE format, which can hold all the data needed for MEB. All vehicle models (except skinned models, which is planned for a future update) and all ingame features associated with the models (such as rain, AO, lights, damage, multiple uv layers, etc) are fully supported. As long as your model is ready in your 3d software, an experienced user does the model conversion of the whole car in a matter of minutes.

And yep, more good news here.
First look of our next machine in Project CARS!
So yesterday we had a chance to went there for a brief tour in the pit during the race. Some rain in the morning brought some challenges to the qualifying. Still it drizzled during the race.
The formation lap saw the R8 spinning and hitting the wall right after green.
Two strong teams from GT Asia joined, with the brand new 2016 Audi R8 LMS and Bentley Continental GT3. The Audi from Phoenix Racing span in the straight when trying to overtake some GTC backmarkers, losing some positions. Nevertheless their pace was fast enough to move up into 2nd. place in the final lap. The #8 Bentley of course, was in the lead all the way to the finishline.
Interestingly, unlike other series where Super Trofeo runs their one-make races or in a standalone class, here they're categorized in GT3 class, dispite their much simpler aerodynamics and more power from the engine.

Hmmm it looks like we haven't posted any photos for some time...

We've just finished the second race of SRTM2016 in Waltkins Glen. Team RacAutoprophets driver txtxtxtx got pole position with light fuel for the team after super pole.
Although he span at the first corner on the first lap, he kept pushing during the whole race and finished 2nd after 32 laps of the race, getting important points for RacAutoprophets. Less lucky for the other two of us, scp0836 and M1A2SQUARE, who had some trouble during the race.
New work this week by AP-Jason, the RX7 Rocket Bunny, one of his favorite car. More wide-body models will follow later!
Yes, the use of carbon fiber on hoods and roof proves a good way to quickly fill the skin. Well, maybe later on we will improve the rear a bit.
New works & some improved old models. Enjoy!
PS: Brz's canards were rebuilt to correct the wrong structure in the previous version. Unfortunately we abandoned the plan to add the canards to the GT86 RB in Pcars because we think the measurement of Pcars' existing bodykit is not accurate enough.
As a breakthough in modding Project CARS, this Zonda R Evo is the very first mod released in June, 2015.
Considering the car, it's a test prototype of the 2013 Zonda Revolucion. There're some differences between R Evolution and Revolucion. For example, Revolucion features a DRS wing on its flap, while this car still uses the same fixed wing as Zonda R. Also the cockpit of the R Evolution is almost the same as that of Zonda R, while Revolucion obviously has a new digital gauge.
Zonda Revolucion will be added to Project CARS game of the year edition, which doesn't affect this mod. What you will find is just two independent cars in your garage, and you can try either of them.
The new version 2.1 uses a new installation method introduced by SMS since patch v10.0. Patch v10.2 fixed some bugs and everything works fine now (except the less important hud gauge). So no need of Unpacked Boot Files anymore.
"It looks like a Victorian's idea of the 23rd century."
"Each wheel, also hewn from a single aluminium block."
"The body is more hightech than the one you find on a Formula One car. It is made from carbotanium."

This is the #61 Pagani Huayra nicknamed Ella, a special edition with its stunning blue paint. Known for its sophisticated, hand-crafted, ultimately customized supercar, Pagani instills its unique philosophy of building sports cars that present a perfect combination of art and technology, which is shown vividly on this particular machine.
The Ella has been touring across major cities of China for Pagani Artigianato private viewing events. This time at Chengdu, our pro photographer Autoprophet-Mrlyx from CDAPT was lucky enough to take a close look at this beauty and bring us these fabulous photos.
In order to maximize Pagani's concept of art, he tried a rather novel mehod of post-processing, making the photos more like modern abstract paintings. Maybe we can call it "AP style", which you can find in some other pictures on this site as well.
Follow AP-Mrlyx on Flickr for more upcoming photos!
Project CARS screenshot by Autoprophet-ZR. He used several screenshots to composite an 8K panorama as well as the creative fisheye shot. Might be a good way to get the environment maps if Visual AP guys want some renders on race tracks.
Not hard to guess which part of the body it is. Yes it's the rear part seen from the top though you may have noticed some unfamiliar lines very different from the original car.
The general design is almost done, just a matter of time to finish the 3d model. The exterior is about 70% completed before we start uv mapping the bodywork.
Notice: From patch 10.0 update, unpacked physics files are no longer supported. We apologize for unwittingly opening a way for online cheating by editing the unpacked physics files.
Fortunately, SMS are doing thier best to remove cheating as well as allow a route to modders. New mod vehicle adding method introduced by SMS is being tested now and all those vehicle mods will come back soon.
The "Unpacked Boot Files" is an assistant mod for adding new cars to Project CARS. When installing an add-on car mod, it's necessary that some entry list files be edited, including "vehiclelist.lst", "tyreshd.xml", "tire.rg", "hud_vehicles.xml". These files are packed in some bff files that can't be edited directly. Now we offer you a solution to that, the "Unpacked Boot Files", which has those files unpacked so you can easily find them and edit them using just Notepad.
Each version of "Unpacked Boot Files" is matched to each game version. So every time a new patch is released, we will update this mod soon.
From 9.0 we added vehiclepersistent.bff for crowtrobot's Custom Grid Tool.

Sim Racing Touring Car Championship 2016 is an Level B Internet sim racing series held by SRFC (Sim Racing Forum of China). The competition system was set with reference to British Touring Car Championship and Petrobras de Marcas. Based on Game Stock Car original mods, the cars are now fitted with improved suspension and more powerful 360 HP engines. The following are our drivers and the cars we'll be using - the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
#14 M1A2SQUARE (Autoprophet-M4DTM), ranked 11th overall last year in SBTCC.
#570 txtxtxtx, hardcore fan of Project CARS, ranked 24th last year in SBTCC as a consequence of network failure during a few events.
#69 scp0836, champion of 2015 CNRace F4 series.
